Senior Pastor: Dr. Mark Walker
All my life I had been intrigued by corporate America. I dreamed of being a CEO and making decisions that would affect lives everywhere. Since I felt sure that my four-generation legacy of ministers and pastors had the ministry covered, I pursued my dream in the business world
It wasn't long until I began to feel God tug on me. In 1984, around 1:30am while praying, my answer came. It was then that I gave my life over to full-time ministry and began to focus on God's plan.
As I see it now, I’m living my childhood CEO dream. As the Senior Pastor, I have the opportunity to make decisions with a staff, volunteers, and a body of people affecting lives around the world for a far greater cause than I ever imagined: for eternity. For that, I am forever humbled.

Campus Pastor: Jeremy Isaacs
I come from a long line of ministers going up both sides of the family tree several generations. I decided not to pursue work in the "family business" and went to college with aspirations of law school and a future in politics. All that changed one Sunday night in a college chapel service while I was doing homework in the balcony (very spiritual, I know). At some point I turned my attention away from my books and began to hear God speaking to me about the course of my life. In the altar that night, I accepted God's call to a life of ministry and immediately changed my major.
We joined the staff at North in January of 2007 as Director of Student Ministries and High School Pastor. We later served as 20s and 30s Pastor and Director of Next Generation Ministries. In June 2011, we began in yet another new role as the Campus Pastor for the new Canton Campus of Mt. Paran North. We are really excited about what God is already beginning to do in the Canton community and in the group of people committed to helping us launch this new campus.
I have a bachelors degree in Church Ministries, and I'm currently enrolled in seminary pursuing an MA in Theological Studies. In 2009, my first book you're not as good as they say you are, but you're not that bad either
, was published.
I am married to my best friend, Corrie. Together, we have three little boys, Cooper, Branson, and Tucker, and a little girl named Kinley.
Interests and Favorites: Corrie and I like to watch "Royal Pains", "King of Queens" and "Amazing Race" once the kids go to bed … and I still watch reruns of "West Wing" to get my political fix. I am a lifelong UNC Tarheel fan and pull for University of Tennessee football while waiting on basketball season to start back up. I love all sports and will keep playing until I beat you.
Books: Contrarians Guide to Leadership, The Tipping Point, Outliers, The Circle Maker, Axioms, Wild Goose Chase, 7 Practices of Effective Ministry, and anything by John Grisham, David Baldacci, or Patrick Lencioni
Odd Fact: I could eat Mexican food 3 meals a day. I love it!
Life Scripture: "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure" 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT).

Worship Pastor: Sean Hill
At much too young of an age, I was placed behind a drum set in youth group (at that time Pleasantdale Church of God), because I happened to be the only kid that had access to a drum set outside of church to practice. That marked the beginning of a long journey in music that has led me to where I am now as a full-time producer, songwriter, and worship leader. During high school and college I spent my time, not necessarily studying, but playing golf, writing songs, and working in an unusual job in retail Loss Prevention. I studied and graduated with a degree in criminal justice at Georgia State since that major applied to my, then, career of catching shoplifters. But all the while, I continued to harbor my love for music, leading worship, playing drums and guitar for different worship leaders and Christian artists, and being a part of conferences, events, and retreats all over the nation.
The short-lived career in Loss Prevention wasn't a total loss when I happened to meet a beautiful brown-eyed babe at Bloomingdale's. Crystal and I married 7 months after meeting, and have remained happily married for over three years now. Shortly after tying the knot, God clearly guided us to step out in faith and open a business together. We opened Uphill Studios, LLC, a recording studio dedicated to helping Christian artists, bands, and songwriters advance the Kingdom of God through music in January 2011. Since that time, we have watched God be so faithful to help us grow the business and subsequently has kept me busy full-time songwriting and producing.
I have a big heart for the Bride of Christ and love to see Her worship with no restraints. About 95% of the songs I write are tailored toward congregational worship. I love leading people into the presence of God whether through songwriting, worship leading, producing, or playing an instrument. I know that if we welcome His presence in with worship, lives will be transformed!!!
Hobbies : Golf, Bowling, Drums
Life Scripture: Hebrews 12:11 - No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
Student Pastor: Trevor Hindman
I have attended Mount Paran North since 2002. As early as sixth grade I have tried to find my place and it has led me back to serving in the church time and time again. I have had a heart for serving others since I was in middle school, looking for ways to volunteer in student and children’s ministries.
After I finished high school I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with my life. I knew I always wanted to be involved in church ministry, but I never thought it would be more than maybe a life group leader or a chaperone on a retreat or camp. But God had other plans. When I was approached about becoming the Student Coordinator for the Canton Campus, I knew that was exactly where God had directed my path from the very first time I served in middle school.
I am now attending Lee University seeking my degree in church ministry.
Favorite things to do: Playing softball, coaching baseball, watching the Braves, watching Alabama football, and just hanging out with my friends any time I can
Favorite sports movies: Remember the Titans, Field of Dreams, We Are Marshall, Moneyball, and my all time favorite, The Sandlot
Life Scripture: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” Romans 15:13.
Children & Groups Pastor: Blake Snapp
I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. I have a very rich spiritual heritage in my family and was blessed to have my grandfather as my pastor until I was fourteen years old. That said, I never had any serious intentions about entering full-time ministry of any kind. To be honest, it was nowhere on my radar at all. But that all changed one Saturday evening when, at the age of 15, I sat in a worship service at a weekend retreat with my youth group. During the altar call that night, the speaker asked for anyone who felt they were being called into full-time ministry to come forward for prayer. I got about half-way down the aisle before I realized what was taking place, and that night the Lord spoke to me and I accepted His plan for my life.
Upon graduating high school I attended Lee University where I received two degrees: Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry (2002) and Master of Arts in Youth and Family Ministry (2005). In 2004, my wife, Sarah, and I were married. We have two amazing kids, Luke (2006) and Avery (2009). In September 2013 I came on staff at Mt. Paran North to serve the Canton campus as Children and Groups Pastor. My wife and I have a heart to get others connected with Jesus Christ, help them own their faith in Him, equip them to be daily devoted in their walk with Him, and challenge them to love others and yield to His plan for their lives. We are excited about the opportunity to serve in Canton and can't wait to see how God is able to use us during this chapter in our lives. It's sure to be a great adventure!
Hobbies and Interests: I am a die hard Kentucky Wildcats fan. I love to BBQ, smoke, and grill miscellaneous meats and vegetables. I also attempt to play several sports along with the guitar, though I'm not very good at any one of them. My family and I enjoy watching TV and movies, listening to music, playing games and just being together. You can often find us piled up on the couch together or spending time at a local place of interest.

Administrative Assistant: Lou-Ann Kates
I was born in New Jersey, and moved to Georgia over 26 years ago with my husband and best friend, Jeff, and our beautiful daughter, Cori.
I have worked at Mount Paran North Marietta Campus for over 17 years, serving in Student Ministry, Missions and Children’s Ministry. I have had the honor and privilege, along with my husband, to lead over 14 missions trips and have visited over 22 countries. We have seen so much that our heavenly Father has created and understand how much work we have to accomplish both locally and globally to help increase the Kingdom of God. One of the things that touch our hearts is that no matter what you have done in your life and no matter where you are, you can always come home to the Kingdom ... to His throne.
Hobbies: My husband and I love to travel, love the beach, and the mountains. We are certified scuba divers and love outdoor activities. I love jogging and listening to my iPod. I love to be around people and the excitement of God’s Word, and I love being around my family.

in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight" Proverbs 3:5-6.
