We want to have a positive impact on our local community. We're able to be effective through programs, events, and our government agencies that partner with us. So join us in making a difference!
Our activities, programs and events are listed below:
Men of Acts – Are you someone with handyman skills? Or, can you cut grass and trim hedges? How about raking leaves or edging a curb? Join with the Men of Acts to provide these services to single parents, widows, and senior citizens in our church and community.
Foster Care at North – Are you currently serving as a foster parent, or interested in becoming one? Would you like to help provide a “Community of Care” for a foster family at North? A “Community of Care” assists the foster families with childcare, clothing and supplies, mentoring, tutoring, and transportation. Be a part of the solution to the crisis of foster care in our city.
Good News Club – Join us each Wednesday night as we bring a full-blown children's worship service and Bible teaching to the after school program at Lockheed Elementary School. Just two hours a week can make an eternal difference in the life of a child!
Mentoring with Marietta Housing Authority – Join us in helping families who live in Section 8 housing in Marietta. Our family-to-family mentoring program is the fruit of our longstanding partnership with local government officials.
Church-wide Events – Be a part of one of the major outreaches of the year. From our Patriotic Celebration in July and our Back to School event in August, to the Thanksgiving Outreach and Christmas Wish List, you have the opportunity to serve guests and those in need. These events are "all hands on deck" events, from providing parking help, to helping a child try on shoes, to providing a Thanksgiving meal to a family in need, to sponsoring a child for Christmas.
