Marin began New Generation Church in 2001 with a vision of Winning this generation for Christ and transforming it into a Holy Spirit-filled New Generation that will take the message of the Gospel, into their communities and the world.
The ministry focus is to university students, using new and relevant tools in order to bring people to an understanding of salvation through Jesus Christ and disciple them. English classes are offered and the Alpha course is used to teach basic Christian fundamentals and answer questions about different aspects of Christianity. There is a weekly coffeehouse and the New Generation Musical Festivals have taken place every year since 1998 as an evangelistic outreach throughout Romania bringing the good news to the new generation of their country. In 2005 New Generation Church began to reach out to parents of the university students and are rejoicing at the salvations they have already seen in that generation.
Marin and Atena are raising up Christian leaders in their Timothy School for Leaders and the Certificate in Ministerial Studies program through the Church of God School of Ministry.
They were able to purchase a building in 2005 and, following some major renovations, hope to be in the new building by late 2006. They welcomed twins Sofia and Alanis in November 2006.
